Whether it’s essential workers on night shift heading out to work at critical infrastructure in the middle of a winter storm, or a fly-in-fly-out miner on a 36-hour trip home after 21 days straight, our job is to help organizations and their people arrive home safely.

Our Drive Safe at Work Canada course can be done from anywhere and at your own pace.  The course covers:

  • Take a minute before you move the gear selector. Make sure you and your vehicle are good to go:
    • fatigue/sleep/alertness, weather conditions, personal hydration/food, windows clear, etc.
    • different requirements for different seasons
  • Driving battle plan–key defensive driving techniques:
    • scanning
    • following distance
    • defensive stopping/braking
  • Winter driving, skid control, and vehicle maintenance
  • Aggressive driving, road rage, and how not to engage
  • Distracted driving
    • cell phones
    • distractions inside the cabin
    • automated driving–vehicle drives with us, not without us
  • Impairments
    • cannabis, alcohol, opioids (pain management), fatigue
  • Stress:
    • managing and reframing

The course is delivered remotely and at participants own pace through:

  • Videos
  • Workbook
  • Proprietary handout “Changing Gears”
  • Question module

Certificate provided upon completion.
