Have concerns regarding operators of your company vehicles driving in a safe manner? Being distracted by modern technology in all its forms including: cell phones, automated driving safety features, or driving in winter?

Dangerous driving behaviors can happen because of habits, attitudes, and responses we have learned outside of the vehicle. Having a driver’s license does not mean we learn better habits. Sometimes as life gets more complicated, they get worse.

We have been working with beginner drivers since 1998 and providing courses to Ontario Courts since 2014 (in areas such as drinking and driving, excessive speeding, and road rage). We have learned that there are deeply habitual reasons for driver error. Our course addresses those habits and develops driving habits that will keep your employees, other road users, and your assets safe on the road.

Any employee who drives for work should be considered a fleet driver.

Driver training can lower a company’s insurance cost, vehicle downtime, and repair expenses. It may also reduce medical costs, limit harm to an organization’s reputation, and help prevent catastrophic consequences of a legal settlement.

Hands free is not distraction free. Significant legal settlements have been happening for decades in the U.S as fleet drivers have been found guilty of driver distraction while using hands free devices.
The distraction is coming from inside the cabin (3 types: manual, cognitive, visual)!
Who is doing the driving? Technology works with us, not without us. Self driving technologies and their limitations.
What constitutes a great strategy for safe driving i.e., components that go into the scanning system (enables us to identify and see what is important faster)
Impaired driving module including how long alcohol stays in the system (hint: it is way longer than you might think and charges happen frequently the morning after); individual tolerances; drug interactions
Our habits: what goes into making them – a large percentage of the decisions we make in a day are made subconsciously and so it is important to make sure we have the right habits in place
Winter driving: skid control; hydroplaning; car maintenance, and preventative checks
Refresher of rules of the road that help us be courteous drivers and road users

OFFERED REMOTELY

Offered remotely and participants can work at their own pace.

Ontario, Canada Driver education available online

Content applicable to drivers of all classes of vehicles, however content specific to AZ license/trucks is not covered. Certificate of completion issued to participants who show comprehension of materials.

We include a complimentary distracted driving policy as well as job descriptions for a variety of transportation roles.
